iSoft reveals European and UK deals

iSoft has announced that it has secured new business and renewal of contracts worth €8.4m in the UK and central Europe over the past month.

iSoft Northern Europe says it has secured new orders worth €3.1 m, while iSoft UK and Ireland has agreed contract extensions worth £4.22m for ongoing maintenance and support.

New orders for iSoft Northern Europe included six contracts in Germany for hospital information systems. The company also won four orders for radiology information systems from three hospitals in Germany and Euromedic in Switzerland, which has bought the systems for three of its diagnostic centres.

Four contracts for laboratory information systems were also secured from three hospitals in Germany and Gemotest in Russia.

Additionally, Albertinen Gruppe in Hamburg has agreed a contract for iSoft’s Professional Planner for intelligent financial planning across three sites.

In the UK and Ireland, Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust and South Tyneside Healthcare NHS Trust have agreed five year licence and support contracts for iSoft patient management systems.

And the Southern Health Board in Ireland and St George's Healthcare NHS Trust in London have renewed support agreements for iSoft laboratory information systems.

Gary Cohen, executive chairman and CEO of IBA, iSoft’s parent company, said: “We have had an excellent month of new business in Northern Europe - a record for the company and clear evidence of a renewed confidence in iSoft.”
