Agfa’s ORBIS to be installed in 37 French hospitals

Agfa HealthCare,has won a contract to install its ORBIS electronic patient record software at hospitals belongng to the Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) group.
The €95m project will see the Orbis solution installed at all 37 hospitals within the AP-HP hospital group.
AP-HP admits more than one million inpatients a year along with five million outpatients, and has a capacity of around 23,000 beds in the Ile de France region of central France, together with an additional three facilities outside that region.
Agfa Healthcare will work with Cap Gemini, HP and Oracle to help deliver the project.
"I am very pleased with this cooperation, which will result in a significant improvement in the management and care of patients," said Benoit Leclercq, managing director of the AP-HP.

ORBIS provdes chealthcare clients with the platform for an integrated EPR that covers the needs of the institutions for clinical information management, management of prescriptions, scheduling and medical documentation.
ORBIS has been installed in more than 800 institutions across continental Europe, serving more than 500,000 users daily. Thanks to its patient-centered workflow, ORBIS facilitates the administrative tasks of medical teams and nursing staff.
